There is a strange freedom in realising that we were never supposed to fit neatly inside every space we entered, sometimes we outgrow expectations, old versions of ourselves become too small, dreams become bigger than the lives we originally imagined for them, and the things we once believed were impossible begin to feel increasingly within reach. July has been something of a chaotic month for me, as I have moved into temporary accommodation whilst I wait for the sale of my house to complete, and so there has been a lot going on. It took a little while, but I have finally set up my temporary studio, so I will be able to continue working and hopefully find a little normality within the current abnormalities!

For a long time, I think I misunderstood what it meant to feel powerful, I imagined power as something we acquired once we had achieved enough, healed enough, proved enough or finally reached some distant version of ourselves who had everything figured out. Everything is packed up ready for the move and there have just been a LOT of changes and chaos. I have a newfound appreciation for not moving house. It is an underrated experience and I wish I had appreciated it more. Not being surrounded by boxes, what an absolute luxury, ha!
