The title of the artwork for week thirty is:

My Own Thunder

For a long time, I think I misunderstood what it meant to feel powerful, I imagined power as something we acquired once we had achieved enough, healed enough, proved enough or finally reached some distant version of ourselves who had everything figured out. This year has taught me that power was never waiting somewhere in the future. My Own Thunder is about the moment we recognise that the force capable of changing our lives has been within us all along.

There is something exhilarating about realising how much agency we have, we can make decisions, change direction, create things that did not exist before us, walk away, begin again, say yes to enormous ideas, and build lives that once existed only in our imagination.

We do not have to wait until we feel fearless, we do not need permission to become louder, bolder or more ambitious and we certainly do not have to make ourselves smaller simply because our power might make a little noise. Sometimes the world will shake because something outside us has changed but sometimes, the thunder is our own.
