May I Say, Thank You!
And so, we arrive at the end of another month. I can’t comprehend how fast May has gone. I swear I blinked once and now it’s the 31st.
There is a lot going on behind the scenes at the moment. Everything is packed up ready for the move and there have just been a LOT of changes and chaos. I have a newfound appreciation for not moving house. It is an underrated experience and I wish I had appreciated it more. Not being surrounded by boxes, what an absolute luxury, ha!
I have just under a month left in this house now and I have so many emotions about it. The time is coming to close the door for the last time, and a lot has happened within these walls. But a lot more is going to happen in the new home, and I am so excited for that!
Perhaps it is fitting, then, that May became a month about endings, beginnings, and those strange spaces where one quietly becomes the other.
Where The Tide Turns has explored what happens when we begin moving forward again. From fighting Against The Current to looking towards Brighter Horizons and remembering that Still, The Sun Rises, the originals became a journey through resilience, possibility and renewal. The limited editions seemed to explore the same journey from somewhere deeper within. Betwixt The Roses allowed the past to be laid to rest, The Fire Returns found the first sparks of something returning, Unbroken became a reminder that being changed is not the same as being destroyed, and Becoming looked towards everything we might still grow into.
Looking back across the month, I think that is what May has been for me. Not a perfectly neat new beginning, because I’m increasingly convinced those don’t really exist, but a shift. A moment when you realise the current has changed direction and, somewhere along the way, so have you.
There are boxes everywhere, one chapter of my life is quite literally being packed away, and I have absolutely no idea what the next one will look like yet.
But for the first time in a while, that feels exciting.
