Welcome to my August collection of Original Contemporary Digital Fine Art!

Sometimes, when we are climbing, the mountain becomes our entire world, we see the next step, the next obstacle, the ground immediately beneath our feet. We become so focused on simply continuing that it can be impossible to imagine what might exist beyond the path in front of us, and then comes the view.

We look back and see distances we once thought impossible stretching away beneath us as we realise that somewhere amongst all those stubborn little steps, we climbed an entire mountain. The places we once looked towards from far below are now beneath our feet, and beyond them lies a horizon larger than anything we could have seen from where we began. That's what this year has felt like so far for me personally. Now, in August as I return to work having moved into my temporary studio whilst I wait for my house sale to complete, I have been able to take some time out and really reflect and realise how far I have actually come this year. At The Edge of extraordinary is a celebration of that moment, this whole year so far.

This collection is not about looking back at the darkness and asking whether it was worth it, it is about looking forward and being overwhelmingly glad that the darkness did not win. There are still mountains I haven't climbed, places I haven't wandered through, people I haven't met, art I haven't created, books I haven't read. music I haven't heard, adventures I haven't taken and ridiculous stories I haven't lived long enough to tell. There is an entire future out there containing things I do not even know to dream about yet; standing here, looking towards all of it, I no longer feel as though I have reached the end of a climb, I feel as though I have reached the beginning of something enormously exciting, I am standing at the edge of extraordinary.

At The Edge Of Extraordinary

There are futures we almost never get to meet, people we have not yet encountered, places we have never stood, opportunities we cannot imagine from where we are now, adventures that will one day become favourite stories, ordinary moments we will someday treasure, and versions of ourselves we have not yet had the chance to become. At The Edge of Extraordinary is about the overwhelming joy of realising that all of it is still ahead. There have been moments when my world became so dark that I could not see beyond them, moments when simply reaching tomorrow felt impossible. Yet somehow, tomorrow kept arriving, and with every one came another step towards a life I could not possibly have imagined from inside that darkness, now, when I look ahead, I don't see an ending, I see possibility everywhere.

An entire future exists beyond this moment, filled with things I know nothing about yet and that is such an exraordinarily beautiful feeling. The darkness did not win, I am still here, I am standing At The Edge of Extraordinary and I cannot wait to find out what happens next.
