Inspired by Thomas Hardy's A Pair of Blue Eyes, Autumn Distance is a celebration of the stories we collect and carry with us wherever we go. It reflects on the fragments of literature that remain with us long after we have turned the page. Certain words become entwined with seasons, colours, places, memories and feelings; all quietly becoming part of the language through which we understand our own world.
